#420 Celebrate the Power of the Consumer to Create Change
HAPPY 420!!! Today marks the first day of a realization; A collaboration of the “Will of the People” and the pursuit of profit can do great things. Today also demands reflection on where this amazing plant stands in society's eyes. Remember all those that came before us, teaching us the power of this amazing plant responsible for Cannabis’ rising popularity.
In 2018 the public is provided a more potent product. The results of decades of research paid for in jail sentences, and broken families victimized by competitive business models that bought administrations.
We stand on the precipice of fully enjoying a legalized commodity now supported by GOP politicians current and retired. Bohner now sits on the board of a Cannabis company, while McConnell desperately moves hemp to the forefront of a political debate that isn't there.
The main factor? Not the environment. Not the overall health of Americans. Not even the thousands of petitions filed by millions of constituents. The main factor is MONEY. Boehner stands to gain millions, McConnell looks to replace millions in revenue that the U.S. Soybean Farmer is losing sacrificed in a trade war. With Midterms quickly approaching, a failed ethanol program, and pay NOT to grow programs the GOP betrays the American Farmer while China is buying up farms as fast as they come on the market.
The clock started at 4:20 and is now ticking again. Cannabis supporters and all those against Fossil Fuels are now in a race that is leading to an auction. The Power of the Consumer Dollar has spoken, and politicians are now hearing bids due to the U.S. Consumer demand and subsequent profit from sales of the product.
We must find more diverse uses for Cannabis other than medical and recreational. The Sativa strain with less than 1% THC is the crop that founded this country as an industrial material used in paper, ropes, ships' sails, and clothing. Hemp was a commodity to fund large caches of arms for Revolutionary War soldiers.
Cannabis is a 100% use plant separated only by rule of law pertaining to the amount of THC contained in the various varieties. This rule is about to be abolished. We must work to make hemp a competitive commodity to the growing petrochemical industry derived from fossil fuels. The Petrochemical industry has enjoyed billions in investment in the Gulf region resulting in new refineries.
To continue to develop Cannabis based products such as textiles, paper, composites, plastics, oils, and health products will lead to greater revenues given to a biobased economy. Greater revenues for a biobased economy costs companies making money selling oil and coal derivatives. The pharmaceutical industry is losing billions in opioid sales and this is just the start.
What does this mean to the average citizen? The consumer has caused a shift in profits that will be used by companies to lobby for pro-Cannabis legislation and fund elections for candidates that support legislation. Pharmaceutical companies are now in a bidding war with Cannabis companies for political support.
Develop hemp for use in paper, plastic, textile, food, and health industries. Fossil fuel industries will lose sales in Petrochemicals, subsequently losing their financial ability to lobby. Even better news, the Fossil Fuels industry will lose its ability to fight toxic lawsuits, brought on by millions of poisoned citizens, leading to judgments awarded and the seizure of assets.
The result will be American farms growing American crops, used in American factories, sold globally. Growing hemp and other crops can lead to the largest shift of wealth and power since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.
The New Flow of Profits that pay for action in the form of:
- Petitions to amend the TSCA Act of 1976 to include all chemicals.
- Petition companies to use more bamboo and hemp.
- Boycott fossil fuel companies and buy hemp and bamboo companies.
- Crowdfund and own the commodities as farms, factories, and product companies.
- More development of hemp and bamboo-based products.
- Reinstating Environmental and Human protections rolled back by the current Administration.
- Funding lobbyists for legislation and political candidates for office more aligned with the values of those that support Cannabis.
Allow this #420 to compel you to repeat the same success Cannabis has to celebrate this #420 with Industrial Hemp and Bamboo used in consumer products. Cannabis has led to pharmaceutical, tobacco, and alcohol companies experiencing losses, politicians having a change of heart and most importantly lives being saved as a result of you buying Cannabis.
Grow the plants and join the ECONOMIC movement that will save the environment as a bonus.
For those of you that do, raise your pipe, and toke to a new economy. Today marks the first day of a realization; A collaboration of the “Will of the People” and the pursuit of profit can do great things.
